| Newcastle Festival Opera regularly holds auditions for singers and actors for forthcoming productions. Through the process of the auditions the Artist Director and Music Director have the opportunity to listen to potential members to perform in the company’s productions.
The productions for 2011 will be:
Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers March/April
Leonard Bernstein’s Candide July
In addition to productions there are opportunities for singers/actors to perform in the NFO Schools and Concert Programs.
NFOpera is a co-operative serving actors, singers and instrumentalists. Its mission is
- to produce opera productions in the Newcastle Region at the highest possible artistic level
- to provide a training ground for aspiring opera singers and musicians with mentoring by professional musicians
- to provide experience for production and technical personnel in the genre of opera and music theatre

- 3 Contrasting Arias/Songs - 1 preferably in a language other than English
- NFOpera Audition Application Form with head shot.
