 Eloise Rowland began singing tuition in 2004 with Rose Saunders and then with Jennifer Barnes in 2005-2007. She performed in productions of Bugsy Malone and Hansel and Gretel at Newcastle’s Young Peoples Theatre in 2005 and 2006 in Lead and Principal Roles. She attended Newcastle Grammar School and was appointed as Senior Musician in Year 12. She performed in the Year10 production of Little Shop of Horrors and was involved heavily with the school choirs. Eloise has been a member of the Newcastle Chamber Choir since the beginning of 2008 and performed with them in Channel 7’s Battle of the Choirs. She also performed in Newcastle Festival Opera’s production of Wonderful Town as a chorus member. Eloise is currently studying at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, majoring in voice, studying with Chris Allan. This is her first Opera production and she is very excited about performing with the Newcastle Festival Opera.<09/09>
