Sarah Sullivan is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and holds a Bachelor of Music - Vocal Performance, a Graduate Diploma in Opera Performance and a Master of Music Studies. Sarah has performed many roles for the Queensland Conservatorium where she studied under Professor Janet Delpratt. Sarah is a company member of Opera Queensland and has been a Developing Artist for that company. In 2001, Sarah won the Horace Keats prize for best fourth year or post-graduate recital and the Opera Foundation Australia Covent Garden National Opera Studio Scholarship. This took her to London where, through the National Opera Studio, she worked with the Royal Opera, Covent Garden, English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North, Welsh National Opera and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Sarah has been conductor for the St Joseph’s College choir in Toowoomba, acted as choral consultant and singing teacher for the choirs and students of the Toowoomba Preparatory School and has conducted choral workshops for St Ursula’s College in Toowoomba. Sarah has also been the vocal adjudicator for regional Eisteddfodau including the Ipswich Junior Eisteddfod, the Gympie Eisteddfod, Dalby Eisteddfod and the Charters Towers Eisteddfod. Still enjoying performing in Eisteddfodau herself, Sarah has been four time winner of Champion of Champions at the Queensland Eisteddfod. In 2008, Sarah participated in an overseas Masterclass series in Aub, Germany. Here, Sarah studies with American teacher Neil Semer, who boasts professional students in opera houses all over the world including Bayreuth and the Metropolitan Opera as well as with renowned Australian opera star, Ghillian Sullivan. Currently, Sarah conducts the Caloundra Chorale and is involved as Musical Director and in the cast of many of their productions. Sarah is also the Enterprise Services Manager for the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.
